The Soup's version, with Oprah Winfrey in heat, was eleventy billion times more horrific than anything that hack Stephen King could think up.

It was an ok way to kill 90 minutes on a Sunday. Kind of predictable, nothing that hasn't been done before. Don't let the trailers fool you into thinking your going to get your money's worth of some Sam Jackson either. There ain't no muthafuckin' snakes in muthafuckin' foeteen 'o eight. I'm thinking Evan Almighty or Knocked up would have been better choices.

looks like a movie that i'll buy on DVD when it ends up hitting the $10 section. More of a movie I'd rather watch at home in the dark than in a theater

LOL, you dumbass, we went and saw it today too.
As far as Stephen King adaptations go, it was one of the better ones. It doesn't hurt that I read this short story something like 5 years ago, so I didn't remember much and have it ruined. The verbal sparring between Jackson and Cusak was well done, but too brief, though I guess they streched it out as much as they could and there wasn't anything for Sam to do after that part. Mildly creepy. A little on the long side.
