it just ended....Tony is still alive all his family is alive....some of his made men died last week but that was it...

they were eating dinner as a family and it just ended....LOL

it was foreshadowing tony getting killed like in the godfather maybe hiding a gun behind the toilet maybe and some guy killing tony in the restaurant. but then the screen just goes blank just as the guy enters the restroom. i thought my tv went out. they just left it open.

I was disappointed with the episode, but Phil's death did bring me some satisfaction.

I thought the final episode and it's ending was GREAT. That song means a lot for me for two reasons and I thought it was perfect.

The main character gets away for most of my lifetime. Then in the 90's you start seeing (Or I should say, I started seeing) unpredictable plot twists where the guy that's "supposed" to make it doesn't. That's been done too many times.

I figured this whole season that Tony would be indicted, but wouldn't live to stand trial.

This ending was not expected and the song made it perfect.

I watched a interview with the maker of that show and his reasoning in ending the show was so he could concentrate on his new career as a MOVIE producer. I've read this a few times and this seems to be the best theory. The last scene was mostly shot through Tony's eyes. The 2nd to last episode has T & his Brother n law talking about getting whacked and how you never see it coming. Things just probably go black. Considering this was through his own eyes, it seems T did get killed.

You really think they would have done it like that, no gun shot, none of the family screaming, etc? He ain't dead, end of story. In a place as crowded as that diner was, someone doesn't walk up behind you, put a gun to your head, and nobody notice.

I was wondering if maybe everyone re-upped on their contracts, and there will be a Season 7? Obviously, if this had happened mid season, they would have kept it out of the news as to not ruin it and kill the ratings for the rest of the season.

Considering most of the other whackings were done in broad daylight with no thought of concealing identities, it's plausible to say T was murdered in front of his family. The thought of the audience getting whacked is a good one, too.

I slept on it and just came to the conlcusion David Chase wanted the viewers to realize it just never ends. he left it up to the viewer. the whole entire last scene with Journey playing in the diner was full of foreshadowing that a disaster was about to happen but never did. if you watch the soprano's from season 1 you will understand the show was a thinking show. it would just be to simple minded to have a complete ending like everyother show out there. which soprano's is definatly not like everyother show. I dont think we got the shaft and the top critics in the U.S didnt either. if you never watched the show you would never understand.

Chase could have done a homage to The Godfather with the shooter going in the bathroom to get the gun.

We'll never know and thats the great thing about it. It was left open ended to leave us to our imagination and to talk about it.

I like the viewer getting whacked idea. We didn't know it was coming and all we saw was black. I loved it.
