Went to TMS for the first time Saturday.
Pretty good race. Yay Team Penske, 3 and 6 led most of the race. Several accidents, but no one injured.

there was a huge scoring error that caused him and a few others to get away with the lead.

but most spectators missed it

really, what happened? I have to admit, I am not an indy car fan. It was cool to go, but I didn't really pay attention much. I was more into making sure my son had a good time and I tried to figure out how to take a picture of the cars on the track, but was never able to.

I thoroughyl enjoyed it, but I really love open wheel racing anyway.

Good race. Too bad that Marco finished as poorly as he did.

I'm still pissed that I forgot my camera at home. Probably would have had some great pics.

Overall a great race and I'd definitely go again. Now I just need to hit up the US F1 Grand Prix and I'll be set, along with the CART race in Houston.

there were some cars that pitted under green that when the caution came out they were still in the lead and some that had not pitted were still in the back and some cars were supposed to get some laps back and didnt. :o

it was a bad deal for alot of people and a really good deal for some but when they went green it was over and there was nothing anyone could do. :(

Kinda off subject:

Did anyone hear about the First Black driver won a Formula One race this weekend?

ESPN reported the driver as an "African American" even though he's born, raised, and lives in the UK. He's never lived in America, or Africa.

PC has gotten out of hand.

yea, that was that first caution where someone spun out entering pit road. I didn't pay attention much to the position of the cars on the track before or after.

Now ESPN is saying that they were correct because he is of Grenada heritage, which is "African-Caribbean".

If you look far enough into it, we all can be considered something. ESPN just doesn't want to say they were wrong (not like it matters anyway).

I appropriated the image from ESPN. I was sitting in the stands to the left of Pit Row where the first crash occured, single car spin out and hit the pit wall. Still working on my photos.

If your car doesn't quite make it the pit, the pit crew comes out to push it in. But if the car overshoots the pit, it has to take a lap and come back in.
Why can't the car be pushed backwards?

That Citgo car that ran last place the whole race was significanlty slower than the rest, why?

Good use of the word appropriated. I also wondered about that Citgo car. He seemed to be running at his own pace the whole race.

When they first started in a close pack, it was like a bunch of mad bees in my head with bunson burner fumes in my nose, almost surreal. Thanks for the advice.

I don't know, wasn't paying that close of attention. I know 3 didn't finish, and that is all. But 11th is 11th and not 20th.

It seemed to be more the car than the driver. Why was the car so slow and how did it get in the race?

there wasn't a field of 43 to qualify for 20 spots. there were only 20 cars to qualify for 20 spots. that's usually how it goes for all of the IRL races, except the Indy 500, where usually the big dollar teams bring 4-5 cars to qualify for 33 spots. she did make the 500 though and crashed 67 laps in. i'm just saying she shouldn't be in the league, that's all.

She's just as qualified as the other 80% of the field who are bringing the funding for the team. hell, do you want to be a race car driver and have access to a couple of million dollars in advertising money..............pm me and i can send you some phone numbers lol.
