I moved here from North Carolina due to Family ( parents getting older)
I worked on a Craftsman truck Team as a mechanic and finish fabricator for 2
seasons. I have 14 plus years as a mechanic working in dealerships to grassroot
race teams. Not only did i turn wrenches I also raced many cars that I either built
or built with some one. My experience has been in stockcars, drag cars and some
scca solo 1 and solo 2 as well as some dirt cars. And I do own 2 mustangs one to race andd one to drive, both fox bodies.
No matter where I lived I have been on this broad for years reading and keeping up with what is going on and always noticed that members always come thru on things and i have finally moved here.
I do not wish to go into a dealership I hear it is getting bad at the dealer level
compared to what it use to be years ago.
please do not suggest Team Texas Driving school at the speedway, I went there
and the owner is the biggest a$$hole i ever met.
If anyone has contacts or knows I how I can find a full time race team that may
need an experienced mechanic/ fabricator please post up or PM me
Thanks

Yes it maybe and I started my dream when i was there it was a under funded
team lost sponsor at the end of 06 was trying to go to another team when my dad
got sick so i made a choice to come back to help. I have other skills to fall back on
but it never hurts to keep after that dream.

Why don't you go up to TMS and fill an app out and drop a resume. I know that they have many many positions out there and if you do not get something to your liking, you can always network as the teams come in. And I am not suggesting the Drivin school either. Go to the main offices.

There's a CTS team based out of DFW, but not high dollar by any means. Lou G's Speed GT team is local - http://www.lgmracing.com/
Should also be quite a few Star Mazda teams, Atlantic teams, etc local as well. A visit to MSR would be a good start.

Still looking for opportunities, if any has more contact info please post up
thanks to all that has sent info
If you are a good fabricator Kim Smith and Wolfe always seem to be looking for help. Kim's shop always has a few pro stock cars he's working on and Wolfe usually has a top NMRA or FFW car in his shop. As for racing with turns LG is pretty big and is more of an all purpose shop than either of the above mentioned businesses and has a race team.
What side of town are you on?
