dont use a towel. I got an Absorber, they are the shiat. Just make sure its clean. I wash my mom's black firebird all the time with a clean one and dont see a single water drop. not really, but close.

I use a California Water Blade (coolest thing ever) to get the water off quickly. Then I go over it with a chamois to get rid of any more water. If there are still water spots (and there always are) the damp chamois takes care of them. I spend more time getting rid of water spots then I do washing my car. Sucks but that's the price we pay for having black cars!

If anybody else has tricks or suggestions post up!

I use an electric leaf blower and it works great. Just make sure you have a little wax on the car, so the water runs off easy.

I never thought of the leaf blower there is a lways a new idea! I use Zaino polish and have to go over the whole car to get rid of all spots. I do use a squeege on flat surfaces and that does well. Black is just high maint...

I just got The Absorber and it is awesome. Only 10 bucks and it gets rid of water spots while you use it. I dig it.
