I have been at my job for almost 6 years and have not received a raise in 4. They are making some manager changes and Im just seeing what is available. I would like to get out of the car business, something with more steady hours and more steady pay. I basically want to work somewhere with movement and a future. Just Pm me with any info.

Well around here service is worse than parts its not really about the money I just need a certain amount to get by. Its more about how I never have time for shit and plus they are making a lot of bad changes around here

All dealerships are pretty much the same. now what I would want to do is go to a dealership body shop or any body shop and work with parts. I love working with big body orders.

Service in most dealerships now sucks, they have changed the pay structures to getting paid for hours instead of total, but your total for parts and service still effects your income per teir. I know alot of places still do a percentage and those are where you want to go.

I don't know if you are interested, but the city of garland has a service write/adviser position open right now. The benefit are hard to beat.. like two to one retirement contibution. :cool:

Job Purpose : POSITION SUMMARY: To process customer service requests by entering data into Fleet Focus information system and generate work order to initiate repair process.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (The position exists to perform these functions): Inspects equipment/vehicles for damage, takes digital pictures. Coordinates outside vendor repairs and updates information in Fleet Focus system. Dispatches customer road calls. Opens and closes front office. Contacts customers to notify them that their equipment is ready and for coordinating transports. Obtains estimates and properly documents vendor activity as it relates to equipment repairs. Answers telephones and enters data into Fleet Focus software system. Obtains repair estimates. Coordinates repairs with vendors; follows up with vendors regarding repair status and invoicing. Generates departmental purchase orders and reports. Dispatches calls for technicians; coordinates wrecker needs. Other duties as assigned.



MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma and two to three years office and fleet experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience.



PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS: Knowledge of MSOffice applications. Ability to input and interpret appropriate data into computer software systems. Skill to multi-task and provide quality customer service to internal and external customers. Knowledge of general office procedures. Skill to use general office equipment.



LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: Valid State of Texas Class C Driver's License.



PHYSICAL TASKS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: The incumbent works in a typical office environment and may be subject to noxious odors, and fumes. Physical tasks will include lifting, squatting, bending, stooping, walking, and carrying supplies, as needed, to accomplish the tasks of the activity on a daily basis.

Salary Range : $14.12 - $21.71
Targeted Hiring Range : $14.12 - $17.92
