Is there a way to clean out the harddrive if u dont have the orginal windows or other program discs? There is alot of stuff on this used laptop i have and I want to get rid rid of all the old stuff but keep the Windows XP and photoshop software. Well, you could just uninstall everything you don't want from control panel and do a registry/file clean with a program like Ashampoo Winoptimizer or CCleaner, but remember it won't be TRULY clean in the sense that it's hard to COMPLETELY remove/uninstall a program because it always leave behind some data. Your best bet would be to do a format and reinstall XP.

If you just want two things installed,

just do a complete format and reinstall
