2) don't hold your breath on the Stars.

And I guess I should know ahead of time where to pick up the money.

I can honestly say he has nothing good to say about the Cowgirls. In fact in the 23 years I have known him he has not once wanted them to win anything.

This is a good game so far. Physical as hell with Ottawa controling the first portion of the period and Anaheim owning in the 2nd half of the period.

yeah he's right there! You'll never see me ever want the Cowgirls to beat anyone.
Now that Ottawa has the rust out from sitting so long, they should split in Anaheim. Then the friendly confines of Ottawa should suit the Sens just fine, to go up 3 - 1. I'd almost like to see it go 6, so the Sens can win it in front of their fans.

 Pass me some of that good shit your smokin! If it wasn't for most of the penalties, it would have been a 4-1 Ducks game. The Sens #1 line got shut down. I think it will go 6, possibly 7, with a Ducks series win. Hopefully it only goes 5 though. I find it funny how many people under estimate the Ducks.

not smoking anything. The Ducks will not keep that line shut down. as for the penalties, that argumnet is a moot point, becasue the are going to take stupid penalties. They play that way. that is going to be one of their downfalls as the Sens get rolling again.

No, I'm yawning because the NHL of today is a joke. I don't know how you guys can stand to watch this crap anymore. I was a HUGE hockey fan before the lockout, but now I can't stand it.

i haven't got to watch much, Ony saw 53 seconds of the first game, and about 10 minutes of the second. Either Anaheim's D, or should I say checking line is really playing great, or someone forgot to sharpen the sens skates. they looked awful, up until that little spurt near the end. was the whole game like this? hopefully getting the last line change in Ottawa, and just being home will get them back in it!

It was actually getting that way before the lockout. I would bet it's that you're more of a Stars fan, and lose interest when they get booted every year. From what I've watched other than the Canucks - Stars series, the hockey has looked pretty good.

now if Ottawa could just get going in this series!

Yeah, i think it's Analheims D. Neidermyer, and Pronger are monsters. And Getzlaf is doing pretty well too. It will be interesting to see how things go in Ottawa though. Tides COULD change, but i doubt it. ;)

Most people that think that usually don't know anything about the game itself.

As far as the games, I saw most of Game 1 and just the 2nd period of game 2. Ottawa needs to start putting the puck on net more. The Spezza line is sick but look too much for the perfect play and you can not do that against Anaheim.

I am a Stars fan, but even when they didn't win the Cup I'd still watch before the lockout. It is just not the same product as before.

Most people that think that usually don't know anything about the game itself.

Seeing as how I started watching it back in the mid 90's, I don't think so. They have ruined their product completely and without a major TV deal, they'll be done very soon. Having your championship game on channel most people don't get is not a good thing.

Yeah NBC is a brutal network to have a game on  Dude you know you jumped on the bandwagon as soon as the Stars won some games. Explain how they have ruined the game. Because skilled players have room to work? Because clean open ice hits can't be executed by guys like Shane Churla?

Man, that OU wit is just killer.

Did you see the game Saturday night? Fast paced both ways, lots of open ice hits and board rattlers. Lots of scoring chances. Great fucking game. With their not being an marquee team playing NBC had to be happy with the on-ice aspect of the game. As for the way NBC tries to fuck up every game with some no name hooker who watches hockey 3 nights a year and then sideline reports...no comment:).

OU wit? LMFAO, you have no idea do you?

Lanny, Ottawa's problem in the first 2 games is they looked like they hadn't ever played before. No cohesiveness. It was an All-Star game attitude put on by their top lines. The McAmmond line played sparingly and the Kelly/Neil line didn't get the rest of the team going. Everything camwe together in game 3. As I said fromt he get go, I can't pick a winner :D

I don't know about ya'll, but when they were all huddled up against the goal when it was over, and when they were raising the Cup, it gave me freakin chills! Awesome feeling i'm sure. Alot of people didn't see that game on Saturday night because they chose not to watch.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=2897126

I believe those ratings are down 30% from last year's Stanley Cup Finals.

Secondly, anyone who claims to be an NHL fan that thinks the NHL isn't as good since the lockout isn't and wasn't an NHL fan.

So I guess only the 1,114,000 households that actually tuned in are the only 'true' fans? Face it, the NHL will cease to exist in 5 years unless they are able to secure a major TV Network deal. They cannot survive on having a majority of their games on channels like OLN or Versus.

The product the NHL puts out today is complete crap and the TV #'s don't lie.

So with that logic the NBA will no longer excist in 5 years also because even with King James their ratings are down. Face it you do not know shit about anything that does not envolve UT. it's nice to see what the expert thinks! maybe if UT had a real team, that would all of a sudden make it worthy and you'd actually have something positive to say.
I'm sure it will continue to exist, Bettman will get the boot, so there will no longer be a bobble head looking twit running the league as if it were basketball. they will survive!

No, my logic is stating that since they have no major network TV deal, they will not have enough money to run. The NBA's ratings may be down, but they have major network deals with ESPN/ABC, TNT, and FSN.

I didn't ignore your response, I replyed with facts proving what I'm saying. Just because you thought the game was good and was worth watching does not mean that everyone else thought so. The #'s don't lie and it's no secret that the NHL is on its last legs with fans.
