Dude, look at the date. He ain't payin shit. He's just a liar thats all. If I thought for a second I could get him to pay, i'd go ahead and purchase your debt at a discounted rate, then collect both outstanding bets. Then i'd start my own collection agency.

He bet Clockwrk and I 100 a piece that the Dallas Stars would win the Stanley Cup in the 05/06 season. All the while all we heard was "I always pay my bets, blah blah blah." When the Stars got eliminated, he began to flip flop. He says he was joking among other things, then he completely denies he even had a bet with Clockwrk despite the thread still alive and well. (most of this is all documented in threads)He subsequently left the board for a year as he couldn't post without us throwing it in his face. He returned earlier this month just shy of a year since he left to sell some tickets in this forum, another no-no. So I pm'd letting him know that 1. I didn't forget his welching ass, and 2. not to be selling tickets outside the classifieds. Thats when I got the "i'm going to pay you by the end of the day routine." He left and hasn't been back. Thats it in a nutshell.

ahhh.....but did you really expect him to pay up in the first place? Wow, what an idiot of a bet on his part anyway.

I expect everyone to pay when they lose a bet. I would have paid if I had lost, and I'm sure Hollywood would as well, hell I was ready to give him 2:1. We even double and triple checked that he was for certain that he wanted to bet that much.
Funny thing is, he has never even talked to me about it and denied even placing the bet with me at all, even though I was the one that initiated the wager in the first place.

I know what you are saying, you have integrity.....but to take someone at their word over the internet? Especially someone you don't know....you are just asking for a let down. I don't think I would have expected him to pay....and I mean that I would have expected him to do exactly what he did...I would have wanted him to pay, but wouldn't have been suprised to see him disappear.

Well it's not like he was a newb. He had been registered since 2002 and had over 2000 posts.

If everyone lowered their expectations of people, society would fall faster than it currently is. I say hold him to it!

You didn't see all the back-and-forth on this deal. He was chode. He lined up a bet, and now he won't pay on it. Sounds like scum to me, don't stand up for him.

I am not standing up for him at all...it was a total dick move on his part....but at the same time, I can't say I am suprised on the outcome.
