I think I might have jinx'd the Mavs season by making these to wear to home games. http://www.dfwstangs.net/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=75343
I would love to wear them now...but I've been forced to root for SA since Dallas was "dirk'd." :o Mind you, I'm still a Maverick and Dirk fan first!! :D
A Spurs vs. Pistons Finals is the NEXT best thing for me. ;)

Other than last night's ass beating, the Spurs are playing very well. I still think the Pistons win it all.
And for the record, I had Detroit picked to win it all this year.

I'm not buying this "Deron Williams is a game time decision due to the stomach flu" bullshit. They said the same thing about Jordan back in '98 before he single-handedly beat the Jazz in Game 6.

Williams must of really been commited to the lie. I mean, taking medicine during the game and all.
Good job by the spurs, but that was a couple of bitch plays by Ginobili(sp?) I can't believe he got both of those calls because they weren't even close to being fouls in his favor. And i am so sick of seeing players throwing their limbs everywhere when shooting threes and falling down. Fucking Reggie Miller started that shit. That first one where he pushed Fisher but Fisher got the foul was rediculous. I don't blame Fisher and the coach for getting T'd up during that shit. Now, the fans throwing shit out on the court was some bullshit. Good job mormans!!

Mark Cuban gets down on his knees everynight and prays that he could find someone with Manu's intensity. Someone that will nut up in crunch time and put some points on the board. In the mean time, enjoy Dork and Jet.

Manu is a fucking pussy actor who deserves to win an academy award. They are better than the Jazz, but his pussy ass flops need to stop. It starts with the officials realizing what a pussy actor he is. ;)

No shit. Its almost like last year all over again. You just look in a guy's general direction, he falls down, and you get a technical foul called.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I am definately straddling the fence when it comes to WN8's theory on the NBA being fixed.
I just find it very interesting that the Spurs have needed either suspensions and/or injuries to even have any decent success the past two years in the playoffs. That is definately not a coincidence.

Yeah, Stern wants nothing more than to see a huge market team like San Antonio win championships. I know when I drive through the ghetto, I see kids wearing Bruce Bowen jerseys and running "4 down" to isolate their big man.
Not that you ever had any credibility, but you're making yourself look worse.

I think it's gonna be the Cavs (I know, I'm nuts, but their two losses were each by 3pts).
And the Spurs are gonna have a loooong rest time between now and then.
Get ready to hoist another banner up there.. you assholes.

I'm not sure who I'd rather play. On paper, the Cavs are the easier opponent, but the Spurs have trouble with big SGs that can score (Lebron, Kobe, etc) plus Mike Brown used to be on the Spurs bench and knows their style of play. I think Detriot would be the more exciting matchup and is the better team, but I think Webber and Sheed could both give Tim problems. Webber has probably the best hands of any big man in the game.
If it's Detriot, people will groan about this being a repeat of '05, and it's boring basketball, etc. If it's Cleveland, I think I'll get sick of the media riding Lebron's nuts throughout every game.
I honestly don't know who I'd rather play as a fan, but I think the Spurs have the best chance against the Cavs.

If it's Cleveland, I think I'll get sick of the media riding Lebron's nuts throughout every game. You mean, like they're doing with Duncan, Parker, and Ginobli in the series with Utah?!?
At least Lebron is fun to watch. So is Parker, I suppose.

They do ride the Spurs nuts, but let's be honest, Lebron is the media sweetheart. Duncan is 10x the player Lebron is and has 20x the accomplishments, but who gets more hype? The Spurs and Duncan just quietly go about their business and get shit done.

05-31-2007, 01:03 PM
I don't know about 10x the player.
Duncan is one of the game's greats for sure. But his moves aren't particularly athletic or fun to watch. He's just a 30pt, 10rebound, 5block MACHINE.
Lebron's game is on a different level. He's not near as consistent as Duncan, but when he is on, he makes the game a blast to watch. He's getting better too, and just starting his career. What can I say, I'm a fan. I'd rather have James on the Mavericks than Nowitzki, how's that?
