how do you compress a video? ive got a video that is only about 2mins long and youtube wont let me load it cause its more than 100mb, anyway i can keep the duration of the video the same but cut the mb's? thanks

What kind of file is it, and how long is it?

its an avi file, 163 MB (171,458,844 bytes) and only 47 seconds long...

I always used VirtualDub...
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/virtualdub/VirtualDub-1.6.12.zip?download
open the VirutalDub.exe file

Open the video file when it opens
Click on the video drop down menu
Click Compression
Choose a video codec. Use DIVX codec if you have it
Click File -> Save AVI

It should compress it just like that
