I have had my a920 for a year, and I want a new one. I would like to get a PDA phone, because I need driving directions a lot. I want a planner, and being able to get on DFWstangs anytime I want is a plus. Which phone should I get? BTW Price isn't a factor since I can get an employee discount. :)

Its because yall are using the MS bullshit.
Read over at http://www.ppcgeeks.com/htc-apache-f5.html
They have many roms that disable/remove and add abunch of shit without losing space.
I am running the Mario one and it has everything. CPU OCer, tons of shit
Here is a beta of one his roms.

why waste a shyte load of money on a phone, then have to update/hack and load other programs on it for it to be worth damn? Thats why I tossed my shit on craigslist and got rid of it.

Go w/a newer treo then....it'll do everything you want and more. THe blackberry's are simular to the 6700 when having to hack the phone for it to do more, the Q's i've heard nothing but bad things, but...i've never owned one.

Its takes 10 minutes to flash it, if that.
on top of that, wait in till blackberry's network goes down, which has happened MANY times. Maybe should get something stable and reliable?
http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2007/04/17/blackberry-network-down/
We've gotten some reports in that the BlackBerry network has been completely offline in North America for the last couple of hours (since 8PM EST). Apparently email traffic and all BlackBerry Enterprise Server services have been totally wrecked; we confirmed with the BlackBerry-using among our crew. Apparently the network should be back online by or at midnight tonight -- anyone else seeing this issue? Let us know when it lights back up, would you?
The price for the 6700 is Your price $299.99
The blackberry is Your price $249.99
So for 50 more dollars, you get 50x the features, and a way bigger sliding keyboard.

Motorola Q FTW!!!
ROFL Blackberrys are the fucking suck, I killed 3 in 2 weeks.... Like hunt said if the Blackberry network goes down good luck. Blackberrys are utilitarian, if you wanna get email and thats it GREAT get it. But dont expect it to play games, play music, or have any other nice features like that.
I have the same phone as hunt, I have pocket RDC i use for remote login to windows machines, I have PocketPuTTy for remote logins to my linux boxes, I have A2DP and Motorola headphones (blue tooth connected) that are fucking great for at the office. I have a program the reads 3d barcodes that we use to inventory machines at work, and allows me to check stocks on them. Wifi built in is nice as well as I connected to the wireless network at work, for remote desktops, Greatplanes access, Skype Phone for calling customers over seas. And to top it all off... I have about 4gb of songs on my phone to listen to while im in the Datacenter. What does your blackberry have?

Also, our phones can control TV and shit. Anything that has IR, our phone can learn and control it. Power on off etc.

Extended battery if you're using Good Technology on it.
I have the Treo 700wx...I like it. My brother has the Q and absolutely hates it and wishes he hadn't switched from the 700wx. Go down to the store and test them all out

HERE HERE!!
I love my PPC6700...and I am not as intolerant as other people on here...the standard OS is fine with me. I have the $15 vision pack (its how I am on the internet right now)
Nothing like 960 kbps while doing 70 mph down the road. It is the most versatile phone I have ever known. I love the fact I can listen to internet radio through a FM transmitter in my car...SUCK ON THAT XM/SIRIUS/HDR

Well I have had my Q for less than a week and I cant answer calls at times. Turning it off then on doesnt fix it. Have to take the battery out. This morning it would not dial out or receive calls. Taking the battery out didnt help it. It showed to have Sprint service. After 3 hours it beeped then I tried it and it worked. I am just going to get my money back and use my old phone.:( Dfwstangs while on the road was kinda nice.

I have a Treo700wx. It's not too shabby.
I got my ppc6700 free with a contract...I have the OS Hunt recommended I think and it does run better... I guess the origonal OS was a POS so I hate it.
