Another SVO Best ............ Redline

Well for those who care or just curious i ended up with a new best tonight.
Borrowed some slicks and let her rip.
1.80 60 ft
8.13 @ 84.5 mph

the slicks i have are 26" and brought my mph down a bit, previous runs have netted me 87-88 mph, but this pass was only on 23 psi.

i only got 4 runs in tonight due to the heavy hitters on the track but it did give me some learning experiences.
1. Don't bother dumping the clutch at 6k the motor just doesn't have that instant on TRQ. Bogs badly
2. Still have to slip the clutch a little so my 60 ft varies a little. another good pass i cut a 1.88 and even though i was on 25 psi my time was exactly .08ths slower even though i trapped 85.5

I have a st of 3.73's i think i'm going to install to compensate for the 26" slick. We'll see how this works out. i might..........just might get into the 7's. a 7.99999999999999 would be nice, but i don't see it happening by the cruise.

Good numbers, I think you need to go to the 3:73's too. You definately have 7's in that motor. I'll take some :D We are matched fairly close.

But if you beat me I am turning the bottle on. :p

The car might have the ooomph in it to make a seven pass, but it needs a driver mod BADLY. So i wouldn't worry about losing to me lol.

I know you like your creature comforts, but lighten that bitch up and you can make it into the 7's. Seats, sound deadner, bumpers, a.c., etc.....

If i can't get this car in the 7's with it being a STREET CAR, then i guess i'll have to get some more HP.
Maybe next month i'll try some meth inj. and after that i might go with another cam. I refuse to remove the sound deadening material that i ADDED on top of the factory stuff. i refuse to lose a/c permantly (currently its out) I refuse to do anything that will make my car louder, ride rougher or, is just a PITA to do, just for the sake of dropping a tenth. If all i get is 8.0 or what ever .......... well then my car is just a 8.XX car Period.

I will however take Jon on the offer of skinneys. :D

I also believe if the planets align correctly, Ala blesses me, and i get EXTREMELY lucky , the car could get i the 7's................ but I need a shit load of luck........

pull the front bumper and replace it with an aluminum one, upgrade to a tubular K and SN95 shit up front... easy 130 lbs. without losing any drivability (might gain some with the better weight dist.)

I actually plan to wire the 2 step to also pull timing on the limiter. between that newer intake and maybe some meth inj. i should be able to get this sucker moving along quite nicely.
