For you guys who may be interested. SS Room has received approval from the ATF to make their semi auto MP-40. They will offer a pistol only version, "rifle" version, and a SBR version.
Seeing some of thier blank firing only guns. The manufactre and quality should be quite good.
So for someone who wanted and MP-40, but not the $8600-$22k price tag, this maybe a good solution.
Prices has yet to be determined, but owner is looking at under $2k including the $200 tax on SBR models.

There were 2 on another NFA board at that price. While rare to see them that low, sme do pop up. Unfortyunately I missed them both. :o
But these were also tube guns and not true C&R MP-40s.

Whats an MP-40? I only know of the MP5. Is it a sub machine as well?

It was Germany's premier sub machine gun of WW2.
The MP-40 is basically the father to what most sub machine guns were later to be designed after. Stamped, minimal parts, easy assembly/disassembly, and cheap.
