I got a pretty nice tax return and I will be starting work soon. I feel I owe myself a graduation present.

Option 1: Pistol and CHL

Haven't done it yet because I've been a broke college student, and carrying on campus (where I spend a lot of time) and in bars is frowned upon :o

Thinking mabe a CZ RAMI or a Kel-Tec?

CZ RAMI:

Kel-Tec P32

Option 2: 18" SPR Mk.12 Mod 1 upper for the AR

Can't really explain why, but I want to do an SPR clone.

Option 3: something else?

Opinions?

that AR looks sweet!

But I guess the pistol/chl would be more practical

I would not trust my life to a kel tec. Maybe thats just me.

I agree. RAMIs are nice affordable pistols.

What does option 2 cost for the total gun?

LOL. A lot.
I would use my Rock River lower and just build an upper.

The upper I am looking at is $1295 without the suppressor (or tax stamp).
Then throw optics on top of that... if I wanted to do a clone, the Leupold Mark 4 MR/T 3𥛻6 is around $900.

I'm leaning toward the pistol/CHL route... I'll probably need to go try a few different guns though.

get a 4in barrel semi-auto.

Springfield XD, Para, H&K, Glock.

9mm = cheap rounds.

I shot a kel-tec, one of those really smaller f*ckers with like 12-15lb pull on it.
Other than looking at it, doesn't do much for me.

I shot the CZ97B. Not too bad, but a little sloppy.

save for cummingsdeezul

That's on the list too. :)
I'm going to wait and see if I can use my "supplier discount" on a used one.

LOL. That's just because I'm fucking irresponsible :D Money burns holes in my pockets at an alarming rate.

I'd say the real world might stop that for a while, but getting steady pay for more than 3 months at a time... yeah we'll see. :o
