I have a pretty decent pain in my elbow which I assume is "tennis" elbow. Will anything permanent or serious happen if I ignore this? I cant really take it easy as I work in a pretty physical environment. Should I go to the doctor and get a note for the boss or what would you guys do?

Thanks, and sorry for the ignorance.

it will go away eventually. If you don't wear it at night too, it won't get better

You sure its "tennis elbow" and not entrapment of the radial nerve? Only a doctor is going to tell you for sure. Both have very similiar symptoms.

With classic tennis elbow you are also going to experience weakness in the wrist.

If you think you have tennis elbow and you aren't going to go to the doctor then
you need to apply ice in 20 minute intervals, you need to rest and you need to wear a brace to protect the tendon.

You need a brace about 2" down from the elbow on the forearm to help with the healing process. You can do this with an ACE wrap or you can get one that is made specific for tennis elbow.

no weakness or soreness on the wrist. if you hold your right arm up at a 90 degree angle where the humerus and the ulna meet thats where it hurts...it only hurts if i A) push on it or B) is it to lift objects. Just moving back and forth doesnt hurt unless its bearing weight.

Sounds like tennis elbow to me. I had similar symptoms in my right elbow and went to the doctor and was diagnosed with Lateral Epicondylitis which pretty much is "tennis elbow". The doctor gave me a wrap to put around the elbow to wear every day and limited me to pushing, pulling, grasping and lifting no more then 4lbs. I'm telling to WEAR THE BRACE OR WRAP because if you dont... IT WILL GET WORSE. I didn't wear mine every day and I'm paying for it now. My tissue became very enflamed and started breaking down. So sometime in the near furture I'll be looking at a little surgery.

Make sure you get like an Ace bandage or something similar and wear that. From the day the doctor gave mine to me i felt some relief instantly.

It WILL heal, If you take the bandage off to sleep, it won't heal.
