opinion on DPMS ar15's

there is a local pawn shop that sells the DPMS panther ar 15's(new) for $850. this is with a 20" 1:9 twist barrell. not sure on all the exact pieces but this is the cheapest ive seen a new ar15 around my area.

just looking for opinions on the quality, accuracy, etc of DPMS products. :confused:

I would go with a Rock River and there is a dealer from AR15.com that sells them shipped to your FFL for much cheaper than anyone I have dealt with. He will not even post his pricing since he got complaints from other dealers for undercutting their prices. In order to get a price you can call him. I have bought several rifles from him and he is a straight to the point no BS guy who will only sell you exactly what you want.

I have had my 16" DPMS for about 2 years, and I have had nothing but good luck with it so far.

I got a buddy about to go into the Army and he told me he'd sell his fairly new DPMS M4 for $1000...it's pretty slick with the collapsible stock, 4-sided rail with a tac-light and a red dot/green dot scope.

Are these rifles good to go?

Anything I should look for that would hinder the reliability?

top notch quality. i wouldn't be surprised if their parts were found in some of the higher-end/top tier AR 15 manufacturers ;)
