I wear tube socks when I ride because my boots go halfway up my calf. It's kinda stupid to wear the kinda shoes Bobby has on when riding, especially while stunting! That "ball" that sticks out on the inside part of your ankle is very vulnerable in a crash. That, and your feet will get bent/twisted all sorts of sideways and backwards in a crash! To each their own though, go ahead and woolie all over the place!

I don't ride highways anymore, people do nothing in vegas cept try to kill you.

I'll prolly pick up some boots with ankle support for the lot when i get my F4i, but for now i'll roll the DVS's and the minibike. When my RR comes next week, i'll pickup my track gear though.

The highchair is sick. But yeah I would be gettin some boots man. Have you seen the video of the guy on the R1 doing a spreader, crashes, and his foot hits the curb while hes going down and his bone was sticking out by his ankle.

Good shit man, keep having fun.

All I can say is, don't believe your own hype. You do something so often, so many times, you begin to develop more confidence than you should, you get lazy, you get hurt/dead.

Fuck the haters, live right, eat right, die anyway. One of my closest friends growing up died right after we graduated HS. He didn't drink, never touched drugs, didn't have sex, only thing you could say was he did a little street racing. He died in a wet weather accident on the highway coming home from a road trip after he was hit by a trick that hydro-planed.

I know it's lame and on a bunch of t-shirts, but it's pretty a good saying "Why tiptoe through life only to arrive safely at death's door?"

Loooooks AWESOME man!

unfortunately I have to ditto the 'get some boots on' statements.
It sucks wearing boots on some stunts, but it's the one part on your body you
1. walk on
2. always seems to be the first to get injured on a bike (except arms, wrists , and collarbones)
3. just think of your ankle sliding accross the concrete at 60mph. What bone?
4. has the most ligamints in your entire body/ most connecting fibers

I've been struggling for years to explain with words exactly how I feel about the risks I take in life and the joys I get from them.

I'm still unable to articulate exactly what it is I feel. I was trying really hard to explain this feeling for a eulogy I gave on December 23rd. I didn't include it in the eulogy because I just couldn't find the right words.

When I ride in a manner that is illegal, that is very dangerous, but is also VERY enjoyable; It makes me feel this kind of freedom that I've never experienced while doing anything else. I feel like I’m a caveman, like there aren’t laws of the land, just the laws of the jungle. It makes me feel more alive than any other thrilling experience I’ve had. It gives me this super human feeling like I’m more than just a man, more than just one of the 6 billion insignificant people wandering around this spinning ball.

It’s an escape from everything that stresses me in life, an escape from politics, and almost like an escape from humanity all together.

I know that doesn't make a lot of sense, but I hope it gives a glimpse into how I really feel.

*Knocks on wood* - I would rather die living life in the manner that satisfies me than to spend my entire life in dissatisfaction while cowering away in fear of the inherent risk that is associated with the thing that I love.

I don't imagine you expected this kind of response from what you said, but it just inspired me to post this. Just an opinion I'm sharing that your words prompted me to post.

Yeah, it's pretty funny......matter of fact I thought it was funny last night when I was on 635 going toward 75 and everyone slams on there brakes, one dude hits the shoulder and throws rocks and dirt up all over my freinds brand NEW 07' GSXR1000, I nearly get rear ended on my bike. come to find out it's Bob and his crew up front slowing traffic down so he can do wheelies with all the lanes full of traffic, yeah pretty GOD DAMN FUNNY...... Bob your on your own buddy, if I read a thread about how you were squashed by a car riding wheelies, my only thought will be "I saw that coming".
