WTF is this shit? I was looking through eBay for some brass, and I ran across an ad that says PayPal won't allow people to buy or sell firearms, firearm parts, or ammunition (loaded or components) with their service.
And here it is:

Yup
It's pretty dumb, bur since I guess being a part of Ebay. It goes by Ebay rules. Which pretty much follows Californias gun laws and more so.

hell they don't even issue refunds for 30 days. I bought some headers off ebay and they were flat fucked up and would fit, I called the seller and they said repost them on ebay and say slight mods needed to install these. I filed a complaint with paypal, they tell me the funds are on hold and when paypal gets the tracking info saying the sleer got the item back I would get my refund. DHL dropped the package 2 weeks ago and paypal claims it takes 30 days to issue the refund now.

Yep...paypal Sucks Ass
Google isn't any better. You can't even use the phrase "gun" in an adword campaign without an exemption. You can advertise double headed dildos though.

I had an email from paypal AND a letter sent to my house because the item in one of my paypal purchases said "AK-47" and they just wanted to give me a "warning" this time.
Oh well, some of you might be proud of me since I fucked them over pretty good. I can't really say it, but they're out $700 because of it.

I think it is because when you buy a firearm, you have to have it shipped to a authorized FFL transfer agent when (or you are supposed to) and they are trying to prevent unauthorized sales. I can see the liability that selling firearms presents for everyone involved..especailly over the internet. Strange though, I have seen people on auctionarms.com accepting paypal....but that could have been an error on their part.

Who is to say the transactions aren't legit? What would paypal have to do with it, liability-wise?

I disagree, I bought a super trap IDX exhaust system for my grizzly. Paid through paypal, guy said he never got the money, and paypal and i both emailed conformation of the transaction. paypal refunded my payment withing 5 buisness days

I mean there is potential there....seems like paypal is taking themselves out of the loop to avoid any liablity in these days of sue happy people.
Now not being able to buy brass, that is a bit of an over kill, but I guess they have to draw the line somewhere.
