Greetings from Birmingham!

Just got in a few hours ago. Fucking killer drive from DFW but well worth it to have access to your bike the whole weekend. Damn. We left Dallas around 10 am and arrive in the area around 9am. We had numerous stops though and I got a little lost once we got into Birmingham. Soon as we got our bearings we hit up the Hooter's across the street from the hotel and had 3 pitchers of beer :D

Weather looks bad ass for the rest of the week! I'll post some pictures up tomorrow.

Stephen, it's already a go for next year so start planning. I can load 3 bikes up, one in the bed and two in the trailer. Gonna try Laguna next year to but damn that's a long drive :eek:

Took me 12 hours to get to Panama City, Fl in a truck.

We ran through 3 different construction zones were the highway narrowed down to one lane and traffic was backed up to a walking pace. I'd say that added about an hour. Plus the stops we made probably added another hour (had to stop off in East Texas to drop something off for my cousin, fuel and food stops, and at least a couple of stops at rest areas to get out and stretch). Oh, and I got us lost once we made it into Birmingham :D

stephen4785 is probably the only guy in DFW right now that can attest to how awesome this race is. Think of it like Laguna light. It's cheaper and closer. GP is nice but if you are going for the bike experience AMA can't be beat. Tickets for the whole weekend were only $80 I think. we are already planning a trip for next year!

I think 25 is what you are thinking about. I found it on a map earlier. Man they've got that level on lock down. I was telling them about that shit today, we got lucky. I just looked at tickets and that access isn't even an option.

My brother lives there. I made the drive once. Don't care to do it again. I did it in 9 hars and 45 minutes. I stopped once to buy a bottle of gatorade with a big mouth on it and gas. :D
