I bought a Rock Island Armory M1911 A1 38super pistol, and I like it very much. The only thing that I am not comfortable with is the mag. It feels very weak and cheap.Does anyone know where and who makes good mags for this gun? The mag only allows I think 9 or 10 rounds in it, I would like to put a couple more also.

Check out Market Hall or Bigtown Gun Shows, there are usually a lot of dealers with mags for sale.

I was told that I could possibly put parts from colt on this gun for better performance. Does anyone know something about that? Also I bought this nickel plated 38 at the last gun show on bigtown. I just did not think of the mags untill I used it and noticed.

mccormick, colt or kimber. you wont find anything more than 9rnds unless its for a double stack gun and that wont work with your RIA. yes you can use some colt parts but most will require fitting.
