Is a fully automatic rifle illegal to have in your home? Fully automatic SKS or a fully automatic Ak47? Are there automatic 12 guages?

If they are not registered or are registered but the said owner is not in possession. Yes they are illegal to have in your house or be in possession of.

How do u register a fully automatic rifle?

You cant. All legal transferrable machine guns were made before 1986. Nothing new can be added to the registry unless we have another amnesty.

What about those parts kits you can get? Since they are pre-ban would they still be illegal to build?

Doesnt matter. If you turn them into machine guns. You've just broken the law. This is all of course if you arent a Licensed Manufacturer, if you are then you can build them into machine guns. But they can only be sold to LEOs or dealers with LEOs letterheads for that specific gun and not to indivduals.

Hence why M240s and 249s etc are so expensive. Very few were made and sold to the public before the ban.

Pretty much all of the parts kits are just barrels, stocks, etc with no receivers or just minimal pieces. You can build them into semi auto rifles, but you also have to comply with that whole 10 US parts rule.

The only way you can own any fully automatic rifle legally is by obtaining a class 3 license. The license itself is 3 grand. You also have to go through your chief/sheriff and get them to sign off on it.

You only need a license if you're planning on dealing. One does not need a Class III license for purchase or ownership of transferable NFA weapons. One may also purchase said NFA item without any dealer involvement if said item is registered in the current state in which the purchaser resides.

One must have a clear record, state and local laws allow, obtain a CLEO signature, pay a one time $200 transfer tax, submit finger print cards, and 2 passport photos. Wait 3-6 weeks for the transfer to go through and the item is all yours.

If one cannot get a CLEO signature. One can create a trust or incorporate. Thus you will not be required signatures etc. If you incorporate you can purchase Pre-May dealer guns and if the corporation lapses you can keep the items. Pre-May guns are cheaper because they can only be transferred amongst dealers or other corporations.

you should build a mortar for one of those big ass trucks, red. All you need is beer cans, plaster, d-rocket engines, black powder, cannon fuse, and 2.5" screw pipe. you do the math.
