My new stuff comes in today, so I got the bike ready last night. Here are some before/durings. The afters will be some time this weekend. Just to elaborate, the plastics had been bondo'd, repainted, etc. and looked pretty bad. It was a good 20-30' job! Drips, bubbles, etc. I figured I'd just start fresh with new plastics and tank instead of trying to salvage the old stuff.

damn that is a big dent in your frame...how much did you pay for the new ones? and where did ya get them? gratz

The mark on the frame's about the size of a quarter. Original owner layed it down. Explains the jacked plastics, etc. I found some used plastics with original factory paint + the tank, windshield, mirrors, etc for $875 delivered.

Damn plastics didn't come in on Friday like I expected, so I just ended up doing some little projects on it while I waited. Fixed a small oil leak on the bottom end, changed the air filter, did a little spit/polish. I guess I'm gonna end up making the changes little by little this week after work once the parts get here... (monday!).

my plasitcs were kinda FUGED... i had my dent/body guy fix them and repaint them for 550... and they are DAMN GOOD... look NEW!!!
