When you say Cable company - as in Video/HSD cable company, or what? Check out www.timewarnercable.com - I believe there are some open positions currently.

AT&T is hiring out the ass for Cable splicers and CST's. Only draw back is the sorry ass union CWA will not let them do full time only temporary full time for 18 months, then you have to reapply when the 18 months gets close to say until you hit 2 yrs, then you can apply for a transfer to a full time job.
