I read in a post that I can't find you advised someone to workout one major muscle a day rather a mix of many in one day. Ex. arms monday, legs tuesday, chest wedneday...

Is this really better than a mix?

IMO you can train majors in one day.. if you are pussy footing around the gym and just doing the little foo foo fitness crap.. but if you are WORKING OUt.. One major. one minor. For instances.. i do Tri's ( a small muscle) on my shoulder days.. and Biceps on my chest days..

I usually do triceps on my chest days and biceps on my back days. You think there is any extra benefit of doing it this way? I figure by the time I'm done with my chest stuff my tri's are already pretty spent. Then doing all the tricep stuff just works them out even more.... I like it. Takes almost all week for the DOMS to go away.

you hit the nail on the head. after doing chest. my tri's are toast.. i dont want to work dead tris. after shoulders they are "awake" but not beat down like chest.
i do some cable bicep work after back too .. but not a "major workout" like chest days.

I have tried almost every combo and found this works for me.. maybe one day i will switch it up and put a few extra inches on my arms.. well we can all dream..

I do two bdy parts a workout, with four days on, and three off. Right now is a bit of a random mix.

day 1 - quads, hams, calves
day 2 - delts, triceps
day 3 - off
day 4 - lats. back
day 5 - off
day 6 - chest, biceps
day 7 - off

I've always liked the push/pull split for adding strength, which is three on, four off. The key is to push yourself to warrant the extra rest.

day 1 - chest, delts, triceps
day 2 - off
day 3 - quads, hams, calves
day 4 - off
day 5 - lats, back, biceps
day 6 - off
day 7 - off
