Never been to a gun show before but I think I am going to go to the one at Market Hall later this month. I hear everyone talking about how you can get the best deals there, anybody have any idea what a gunshow price on a Ruger P-95 9mm might be, they are around 350 at Academy retail, just curious.

Thanks

You can find good deals at the gun show but you have to search around and be willing to haggle.

I have never found a NEW gun cheaper at a gun show than at the Acadamy, Sports Authority, or Bass Pro.

I don't know about a P95 but you can get an older own like a P89 for $250 or less

I agree, on new gun purchases you are better off at one of these places

hell here where i am at in iowa the best deals ive seen are actually at the mom and pop gun stores. When i was looking for my last gun everywhere wanted 499 plus tax. They got it for alittle over 60 bucks less.

I love gun shows...I can get 70 rds of 8mm for my Mauser for $5!! Granted the rounds are 60 years old, but...most of them work!! Gun shows are for used guns...if you buy new, buy it from a store.

I generally go to gun shows for Accessories and not new guns.

It costs you roughly $7-8 dollars to get into the shows so you have to add that onto the cost of things you buy.

There will be 5-6 worthless tables in a show (Selling Jerky, or other various things that are not gun related.).

10 years ago you could get some good prices at gun shows, but these days "Gun Show Prices" = a additional 10% markup from their retail store.

I don't mind a used gun, just want a good condition 9mm, a ruger or a taurus pt-111 something in the 250-300 range...

You can get a coupon for entry online.

FWIW, Sports Authority no longer sells firearms. I bought both of my pistols from them when they were OSHMANS. I guess since the change in venue the new company is anti-gun. Its a shame too, because they were the cheapest there.

Blasphemy! You can't have a gun show without beef jerky and cheap chinese 5-bladed knives with a cigarette lighter in the handle!

And XDs...:(

Although, Ive still found them cheaper at other stores, instead of gunshows. Even the other firearms dealers are usually $40-60 cheaper than Academy/Bass Pro, etc
Maybe theyve changed recently, I dont know...
