Yeah, Fluid Mechanics can lick my sack today.

My roommate just called. He's out shooting some prarie dogs and one of the guys in the group just left... opening a spot for me and our other roommate for the rest of the afternoon.


Should I take the .45-70 just for fun? :D

Well, I didnt' take the .45-70. The money factor outweighed the laugh factor.

We took one roommate's 20" Armalite, my 14.5" RRA/Bushy and the other roommates .22-250.

This was my first prarie dog shoot, and I must say its damn fun!

Nothing like watching little critters do back flips after hitting them from 200+ yds. :D


They are some stupid fucking animals though! You could hit the mound one was sitting on... and he wouldn't move. Even when we were in the truck shooting, they would pop out of holes 15 ft from us and start squeaking. I think I could have killed just as many with a pistol today as we did with rifles.



The 20" kicked ass for distance. The 14.5" with an Aimpoint was good for nothing but rabbits and other close range stuff.

It was a "target rich environment."

We would stay in one spot for 45 min or so, then move a couple hundred yards down range and shoot some more.

1.) windburn sucks.


2.) I am now DEFINITELY commited to an 18" SPR upper with good optics... so you might see my current upper/optics in the classifieds in the future.
