Older brother has a 8x57 Mauser.
Younger brother has the SKS.
Swedish Mauser at 6.5mm looks pretty good.

I shot the M1 carbine. .30 caliber.
I prefer a .308 Win or Mauser chambering.
Is M1 garand .308 or .30-06?

SKS for cheap semi-auto mil-surp.
K31 for sweet bolt action mil-surp that is a tack driver (as much as mil-surps can be a tack driver).
Mosin if you think you may need to use it as a club or a hammer then shoot with it afterward.
