note: not a "startup job", but a job to start up new HVAC equipment.
Responsibilities
• Completes installation and tests operation of HVAC equipment in new residential structures to ensure optimal performance.
• Installs thermostats and related wiring, connects piping, and charges system.
• Performs start-ups of newly installed equipment. Completes start-up inspection checklist and quality inspection sheet.
• Evaluates and monitors HVAC equipment performance.
• Troubleshoots system performance issues and performs minor repairs on HVAC equipment to ensure functionality.
• Communicates needed repairs and status of start-up to builders.
• Completes invoices and timesheets at the close of each job, and submits bi-weekly to manager.
• Maintains required levels of truck stock items.
• Maintains a clean and safe truck by following established maintenance schedules.
• Observes safe work practices and follows safety procedures.
Minimum Qualifications or Skills Required (other qualifications may apply)
• High School diploma or GED required
• Up to 3 years of HVAC experience, one year of troubleshooting experience preferred
• EPA certified
• Acceptable driving record
• Able to work overtime and weekends
• Strong mechanical ability and strong technical knowledge in HVAC
• Understands basic electrical principles
• Reads schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
• Strong troubleshooting ability
• Organized and possesses good time management skills
• Able to work independently
• Excellent customer service skills and strong verbal communication skills
• Legible writing and good spelling
• Presents professional and personable image with a positive attitude and a professional demeanor
