I hope that your homes are well insured or you have all of your secured because at one point or another many of us have posted personal information on this board, and much of it could be used to determine who/where we are.

We know there are thieves all over this place so be careful guys.

If your talking about me i've never posted any personal info on this board. If i've had and dont remember then the theives only have 2 weeks to get there ass shot before i move. After 2 tours in the desert i will not be afraid if you bring your own guns.

Your post sparked the thought, but many people have had stuff stolen, so I figured I'd at least throw a little reasoning out there.

I can understand your reasoning but if i was a thieve and knew the owner had a gun, it would be the last house i would try to break into. That's just me but there is probably some jackass out there that might try it.

Yeah, because they can't sit across the street and wait for you to leave. :D

Guns are stolen all the time. They are easy to turn into cash.

I agree. Be careful with what you post online.

Safes are expensive, but cheaper than replacing a small collection.

Trying to steal someone's gun collection is the quickest way to gain yourself a Darwin Award.

You're right, nobody's house ever gets broken into when they're not home and all thieves are geniuses.

Not a problem. I have a safe and we have an Alarm system that we do use everytime.

Me too. And the alarm has an external siren which alerts the war vet I call my father in law who is always home and lives next door.

I had it set one day, was in the yard doing something before I left, forgot about the alarm and opened the door on my detached garage, thus setting it off. Next thing I knew I turned the corner and found myself looking down the barrel of his shotgun. Needless to say that scared the shit out of me...
