Mavs vs Suns

Guess I'll throw this up before I head out to watch the game this afternoon (surprised Marc hadn't posted it yet :D ). Man this can go either way and should be a hard fought game. Yes I'm a MFFL so I'm going with Mavs barely edging out the Suns as revenge to the double overtime lost a couple of weeks ago. I seriously think the Suns are tired and will try and put up a fight but we somehow manage a win. Mavs by 2 :D :confused:

Mavs by 5. Suns will be trailing by 3 and shoot a 3 to tie. They'll miss (for once) and the Mavs will rebound and get fouled. They'll sink 2 FT for the final margin.

I agree. I'll think the Mavs will pull out a tight one. We've got George and Buck playing again. Harris has been playing solid.

On a side note- last night at Martini Park at Legacy/Tollway my wife and I ran into Derek Harper and the guy that sings ACDC Thunderstruck. My wife chatted with them for a while and got a pic. It was pretty funny.

mavs arent playing D at all!! suns are scoring to easy :mad: Mavs better step it up in the 4th qt.They need to stop shooting jump shots and take it to basket instead.

mavs don't deserve to win this... the suns are hitting everything, and the mavs can't seems to get a bucket in these last two quarters... If Dallas was playing better D it would be a close game even without shooting as well.


Oh well this is just a hint of what is to come 2-2 in the regular season :)

Damn, Suns shot 65% from the game. You won't ever win a game when a team shoots that high a percentage. Those of us at Twin Peaks didn't realize Damp was out until sometime in the 2nd quarter. He's usually not too effective against Amare', but he'd have been better than nothing clogging the middle. I'm sure the offense missed his pick-setting abilities too.


BTW, nice to see some familiar faces out at Twin Peaks... and some not so familiar ones. We'll have to do it again sometime.

But how did the Suns do?They ran off from Dallas in the 4th...especially after Dirk sat down after tweaking his ankle. We've got the conference basically locked up. I think Avery should rest Dirk and Josh for a game or three...and then let them get back into the swing of things against the Jazz & Spurs in the last couple of home games.

Not sure if you've noticed, but the Suns have been getting BETTER every time they play Dallas, the Mavs have gotten worse. Particularly on D. And with Dirk shooting 6/18, they don't stand a chance.

Yes the MVP was playing in yesterday's game. No, he is not a Maverick.
