I'm a few minutes behind because of DVR technology :cool: , but the game is tied at 86 with 9 mins to go.

Dirk hurt his ankle again in the 1st half. Came back to start the 2nd half and left about a minute in. Done for the night. He's walking under his own power though, so that's positive. Jason Terry also grabbed his lower back a minute ago. Hope that's nothing serious.

Crazy finish. Mavs win 105-103. Diop missed 2 FT with 3 seconds left and the Bucks missed a half court 3 pt shot at the buzzer. Whew!

JHo hurt his ankle at the end of the game. Hopefully the ankles aren't anything major for Dirk or JHo.

It'd be very easy to look past the Knicks in anticipation of the Suns, but the Knicks are hardly hot. They beat Cleveland the other night at home by 4 points, but had lost 4 in a row before that.

How are the injured players for the Mavs? Avery is getting to selfish with wins....it can cost him in the playoffs...many people have told him to only play his starters 20-25 minutes a game but he dont listen...Its gonna cost him...Mavs have 5 players who average over 30 minutes per game...not good ...just my 2 cents

I don't really see the point.

I also don't think Avery is doing a bad coaching job. He has to ensure that his team is the #1 seed in the playoffs so that they don't have to play SA or PHX in the first round. Trust me, the starters will be well-rested when the playoffs come, and hopefully the first round will be easy (sweep? :)) for the Mavs, and tough for whoever they end up playing in the 2nd/3rd rounds.

The win last night was ugly, but at least it was a W.

They'd have to go 10-1 to finish out and that would get them to 70-12. I personally have them going 8-3 to finish 68-14. I think for a couple of reasons. I don't think the Mavs and/or Avery are concerned with 70 wins. Its championship or bust. With the various injuries that have occurred lately, I think Mavs starters aren't going to be playing but maybe 30 minutes a game and may even get a night off or two. I've read where Avery also intends to experiment with various lineup combinations. Also, the Mavs have some good competition left (Suns, Spurs, Jazz).

Us fan know the Mavs have that locked up, but until its "official", he won't let up. I think he's smart enough to know his players need rest.

According to a guy that called into the Ticket this morning after looking at statistics, Avery is actually playing his starters less than any other team in the league. I don't know specifics, but I'm willing to bet that he's right. Even when he's playing his starters, they don't necessarily have to do all the work because another player will step up. Can't think of another team in the league that can do that.

No break after a 6-0 road trip... Dirk out early... ok it was the Bucs at home but it was a good gut-check win for the Mavs.

Jason Terry kept them in the game not only playing but motivating. You could tell the difference when Jason was on the court and off the court. The Mavs looked tired and made alot of mental mistakes. Dirk was on fire until his injury and might have put up close to 40 for the night if he would have played the entire game. Stackhouse played well when it was crunch time.

Was a good crowd last night, eye-candy abounded at the Platinum Level bar.

I am not concerned at all about 70 wins.I just want the Mavs to be healthy when the playoffs start.
Also, the Mavs are working out Kevin Willis for there extra roster spot.At 44 i am not sure what he can offer except maybe 6 fouls for Duncan and Shaq.

Caught the second half of the game late last night when I got home. Looks like the Mavs shot like shit until the closing minutes of the game but I thought they showed a lot of guts coming back from that. Especially with Dirk out and JHO not at there best.

I got it off NBA.com.....I just got there top three players but if you average there starters the numbers stay about the same...Spurs avg under 30 a game...Mavs I think are like 33 something like that...

Cool.. I was kinda curious how the Mavs fared overall against the rest of the NBA. Didn't know what was considered normal. Anyway, 33 is good. That's less than 3 quarters a game. I know with Nellie, it used to be much higher.
