1. How many calories do you take in per day when trying to lose weight?

2. How many grams of carbohydrates do you take in per day?

3. How many grams of protein do you take in per day?

I have recently started working out and trying to eat better, but I am TIRED. I would like to get a few opinions from people in the real world about what they actually do in addition to what websites say I should do. My husband is good with this stuff, but he is a guy and is trying to gain weight so it's a bit hard to relate to each other.

TIA!

All 3 of these questions are dependent on your body. Do you know how many calories it is taking to maintain your current weight? Thats the first question to answer.

Roughly 1800 if I take my body weight X 14 per some online calculators... I got some good info from Cammin4V... I think I am on the right track. I am just so impatient when it comes to seeing results so I get quickly discouraged and give up. :o

Keep at it. I was exactly like you. I kept quitting after 2 or 3 days with no results. But now I'm glad I'm sticking with my shit.

One thing I hate is when shit sticks to me. Especially for 2 or 3 days. Don't know how you do it.

Actually it's more like 130-135. :o I used to be 115 and a size 0 but I guess getting older DOES have its certain disadvantages...

My ex checked in with me this morning (we're still friends), and to get a little dieting advice. Apparently she's already gained 60lbs with her pregnancy, and she's only 5'1". Looks like I got out while the gettin' was good.

I gained about 60 pounds when I was pregnant. We are trying to have another baby now and this is another reason I want to slim down. If I put 60 pounds on again (which I don't plan to do - I was young and dumb the 1st time) I'd be 200 pounds!

You should motivate her by comparing percentages lost.
