I know Perry gets a lot of flak, but he has in front of him now a bill that he endorses, namely the Castle Doctrine.
All else aside, how would the other 4 candidates handle this?
Bell would probably (likely) veto.
Grandma, eh, I dunno. Probably, given its overwhelming support in the house, but that is scary; popular != right in every case, and popular != lobby support in every case.
Kinky, well, can't be sure about him either. If there were one iota of special interest involved he would probably kill it out of spite. And every bill has special interests for and against. Often those special interests represent grass roots organization.
So I give Gov Goodhair a half point for not screwing up a no-brainer.
