I'm surprised nobody posted up about this move by the 'Boys.

Ken Hamlin signs a 1 year, $2.5 million deal with tha 'Boys:

I'm sure Cartman was over-joyed by one of his Arkansas boys getting signed.

I'm kind of indifferent about this move. I like it in the fact that Hamlin is better than Keith Davis, Pat Watkins, and Abram Elam all put together, but I would have rather seen them draft someone this year and have them long-term.

Also, anyone else heard the rumors that Julius Jones is being shopped for a 3rd rounder? I'm torn about that too as I'd like him to stay with the 'Boys, but the Titans/Vince Young need a RB too and they have plenty of picks to spend this year.

It would be dissapointing to see Julius go, especially for a 3rd rounder. It just seems like he's worth more than that, but I may just be biased :D . I like the Hamlin signing and I think he's 26 which really isn't that old so if he plays well he could be here for 4-5 years, but we'll see.

If you knew anything about football, you'd know this was a good move. Still young at 26, he's got NFL experience, put up good numbers last season and immediatley makes the Cowboys secondary better. Whats not to like about the signing?

i was hoping it was true. he is one of the better cover safeties. instant improvement for the dallas defense.

He's more of a SS.. but oh well.. if he's signed for 1 year, it means we are still tryin to develop Watkins or we draft a FS again and groom him for a season..

Based on the PC it is more to see if he should get big money long term or be paid what he is now long term. Him and JJ seem to be looking at this long term.

reports are that Watkins will start at FS, Hamlin is solid backup for Roy or Watkins / Nickel Packages

he will play 3rd down and 2nd and long, since roy can't cover for shit.

Roy has never been a cover man, good move on IMO.

Great move. And if Julius Jones needs a ride out of town, I'd gladly give him one.

Hamlin is a great addition. Im gunna bet that he is starting over Watkins 2-3 games into the season, if not directly after pre-season.

I dont think J. Jones is going anywhere, it was brought up at one time, but dont think it will happen.

I agree, but I'd much rather see one of those College Runningbacks drafted and playing for the Boys.

Julius wont be shipped.. He's not flashy as he once was his rookie season..but he's still a good back.
