Minimum Qualifications or Skills Required (other qualifications may apply)
• High School diploma or GED required
• 3-5 years of HVAC experience
• EPA certified
• Acceptable driving record
• Able to work overtime and weekends
• Strong mechanical ability
• Strong technical knowledge in HVAC
• Understands basic electrical principles
• Reads schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
• Organized and possesses good time management skills
• Able to work independently
• Excellent customer service skills and strong verbal communication skills
• Legible writing and good spelling
• Presents professional and personable image with a positive attitude and a professional demeanor
Responsibilities
• Installs HVAC equipment, duct, fittings, and associated wiring in residential structures.
• Removes HVAC equipment, and installs new equipment, duct, and fittings.
• Solders and brazes copper and brass piping.
• Runs electrical wiring and connects to equipment.
• Charges and collects for all work performed per company policy.
• Completes invoices and timesheets at the close of each job, and submits to manager daily.
• Notifies supervisor of installations which will take longer than average repair time.
• Explains services and policies to customer prior to change out.
• Ensures customer satisfaction with work prior to leaving job site.
• Sells ESAs and forwards leads to Marketing Coordinator.
• Provides customers with information on new equipment operation.
• Recommends sales of new equipment as appropriate and forwards leads to Marketing Coordinator.
• Maintains required levels of truck stock items.
• Maintains a clean and safe truck by following established maintenance schedules.
• Directs work of installers.
• Observes safe work practices and follows safety procedures.
