Who is showing it? PPV?

The last I heard it was going to be a Internet stream only event. And if any of you think this is anything other then a goof you're out of your mind. This is like Hulk Hogan fighting Vince McMahan (sp?) - nothing but hype.

3x3minute rounds.why would it be the "almighty boxer vs MMA" fight? dana white boxed as an amatuer like alot of MMA fighters do? he is no pro boxer and probably lost more then he won as a amatuer boxer anyways, thats why he promotes not fight's? :D

I doubt that is going to happen. Tito actually has pretty good standup. I really hope Tito smashes his face. Dana has become quite unlikeable in the MMA community these days.

It's because he's the Vince Mcmahon of MMA.

How so? I've always admired him for his contributions to the sport. You and John always have the good insider info, what's going on with him?

dana doesnt bother me either way. sometimes i think he is in the limelight too much but oh well. he did alot for the popularity of mma in the united states but I think if it werent for the Fertittas money Dana would still be a boxercise teacher. lmfao

Heck no. That site is a POS and is very biased. I have a problem with the way Dana comes across. The guy acts like a complete jackass and everything is fucks this and fuck that. He definitely is too much a focus for the organization. It is almost as if he is as important as the fighters. The guy openly talks shit about Pride which is pretty unprofessional. The fact that he basically shut out most MMA reporting and established his own media. Could you imagine if the NFL did something like this? I can understand protecting your product but basically not granting press passes except for a select few is crap.
Here is the other thing that bothers me. I know this is a business and they are doing their very best to monopolize the sport. Make no bones about it, the Zuffa brothers and Dana would love nothing more if any and all direct competition to them did not exist. This is good for them but what about people who enjoy the sport (beyond the UFC). Competition is a good thing and monopolizing this sport is not good for the fans. Pride may die but the UFC cannot pay for all the quality fighters in that organization and manage to give them all enough fights to keep them active. I am sure they would love nothing more than to buy out Pride FC and dissolve it completely. I suppose that they could use WEC to find homes for some of these fighters....

Heck no.... I see what you're saying. One of my biggest fears is that the UFC does become a monopoly and becomes everything I hated about boxing. I can only hope Zuffa and Dana are smart enough to keep this from happening instead of letting the $$$ signs blind them. I remember Dana saying a long time ago he would never let that happen, but sometimes I wonder. One of the many reasons I'd like to meet him, so a fan can ask him to keep his promise.

I agree. It seems that Vera and Ortiz are already starting that trend with they're recent contract re-negotiations. I really hope that MMA doesn't turn into a three ring circus like boxing.
If anyone sees Don King at a event, please shoot him on the spot!

Don King expressed interest in MMA back when the WFA came made its second swim through the MMA world.

Pride is going under no matter what. Not having a tv contract will really hurt an mma organization. Ask Dana. lol
As long as the fighters make more cash, then Dana can do whatever the fuck he wants. That's how I see it.
