In a nut shell MLB is selling the rights to broadcast out of market games exclusively to DirectTV. So unless you live in the market where your favorite team plays you'll have to pay $169 and subscribe to DirectTV to watch them. Senator Kerry has asked the FCC to investigate the deal.
