So I was listening to my mp3's and heard an old pat green song that brought back a bunch of old memories of those concerts. Tailgating, getting wasted, sitting in the lawn....those were the days.

Some of my best stories have come from those concerts...Kinda makes me want to go to another one to see if its even close to the same. Anyone been to a PG concert recently?

I saw him in Waco a while back. Not quite as fun as it used to be. It's just a little too big time now.

i went to one at smirnoff a year or two ago and it sucked ass. the music was fine but i swear every 15 year old was there and they were all shitfaced. i cant tell you how many people leaned on me and walked on my legs and stepped on my shit. we left at the 4th song. would have been a blast if i was 15.

However, I went to the tsunami benefit concert that he and Jerry Jeff and Jack Ingram played and that was my favorite concert of any that I have seen. It was awesome and no drunk dumbass kids.

Me, Big matt, marty, and some other folks hit up PG and CCR a few years ago.. one of the best concerts i've ever been to @ smirnoff. We had a BLAST, tailgated for like 7 hours before going into the show for CCR and Pat.

I absolutely LOVE pat's music. It may not be the most technical playing, or the greatest lyrics... but something about the music moves my soul and makes me happy to be from Texas.

yeah, but that wasnt the important part. it was the atmosphere, the people, and the good times that made those concerts worth going to.

"ya'll go ahead and get it out, pass it around if you got it.. and nobody be a snitch!"

I used to go the the city limits in Stevenville, he would show up and sing sometimes. He was a cool dude, I was buying a couple of beers and he walked up and we shot the shit for a few. I didnt recognize him till he got on stage. :o

I saw him there a year ago in February. That's about as close to the "good ole days" as you're going to get at a Pat Green concert.

If only we could have gotten the blender to work, Pina Coladas and tail gating go hand in hand...

It was a great show and one hell of a party. I actually met my ex there, and her friends had washers setup, a few people had grills going.

My Jeep has an actual electrical outlet thinggy in it now  First time we went out after having Brayden....it was a damn good time!

I miss Pat Green from 1998-99 he used to play at my ex's fraternity house almost every weekend. Before he got big he used to be really cheap and would play all night, he would sit out on the deck with us and drink beer and play his guitar until 3am. I bought my first CD (George's Bar) and a Koozie from him from a rubbermaid container next to his speaker :p After he got bigtime he did 1 concert for them but his price went up considerably and that was after the 'fraternity alumni' discount :o
