anyone know much about Macs? Will this be a nice little laptop for playing around with? I couldnt afford $400+ more for a Macbook right now

How much did you get it for? Are you running OS X or 9 on it? And what are you planning on using it for?

Looks like a nice setup. 1GB of RAM is nice (and fairly expensive to) and looks like you've got all the bells and whistles like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. How's the battery on it?

I love my MacBook and will probably never buy another PC except for a dedicated gaming rig. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine.

it does have OSX. I really wanted a Macbook, but even the low end refurbs are $900 and thats a little more than I wanted to spend. I got it shipped for under $600. Might be a little high, but I think the software alone is worth a little. They are all legal copies with discs...

The laptop will mainly just be my own personal little toy. I have some pretty hefty PCs at home and work that I will do most of my big stuff (gaming, website, etc).. this laptop basically just for internet surfing, mp3, photos, etc...

you or any other Mac users have any suggestions for me? Any cool software or anything? I would like to add a superdrive so I can burn dvds with it. Other than that, I think hardware wise im set.

I know new OSX.5 comes out in like a month, will my laptop be able to install that?

btw, he said with LCD set on dim, it will last close to 5 hours on battery life.

I've ready that Leopard will be "Universal" so it will install on PowerPC based systems. However I expect that will be the last OS Apple makes with PowerPC support..
