Hi, My pc is a compaq (yea, i know.. but it was free at prom in '04)
I just completely cleared it and starting over.
I have a 160gig hard drive, and 512mb ram
a 2.18 mhz proccessor

The only games i will play is call of duty 2, maybe doom 3, and
counter-strike source. I can play counter-strike, but cs-source is alot bigger loadon the computer
I would like to upgrade to maybe 2gigs of ram, and spend $150 or so on a graphics card, can anyone suggest one?

What slot type do you want. It won't be PCI-E so either AGP or PCI.

I think with just a regular PCI slot, you're screwed. All high end graphics cards are AGP 8x or PCI-e.

I bought a radeon 9600 se about 2 years ago and it still works great for me!

They've got upgraded versions out now, but ATI-Radeon products are dependable and give good quality graphics for your rig

Go and buy yourself a cheap Mother board and processor if you want. Then you can buy a $200 gfx card off of newegg.com
