after I switched to a glide my tranny troubles stopped. I must have went through 15 c-4's over 6 years. I'm sure you have also felt the flusteration of making it through 8 races to the finals or simi-finals and have the tranny crapout, we have more than twice and both were races where several grand were on the line and we had traveled a few hundred miles to race. GLIDE GLIDE GLIDE
12.2 @ 116
broke something in the drive train. it was a loooong ass night

GLIDE GLIDE GLIDEI currently have 4 c-4's and no glide. I will have to save for the glide. Really not in the budget right now.

Thanks, We are actually trying to get the wheelies out of the car for racing and get them back for the occasional show.

ran a 10.9x @ 127 .....hell of a cross wind. It must have been a steady 30mph wind. Still running on street tires, but I was expecting a little more. There were not that many people out there.
When we were leaving , my buddy in his red 85GT with a blow through carb set snapped his crank and sent a rod throug the block/pan just outside of the plex....it was running on borrowed time considering it was a stock explorer 302 short block...rods/crank ect.....ran 10.30's 134 last Sat out there and has put down 570 @ wheels.

13.110@106. I agree with the others about the wind. It was blowing the car all over the place on the deep end.

Took the Cobra out on 18" street tires and my first pass was
R/T .037
60' 2.06
1/8th 8.12 @ 92.04MPH
1/4th 12.35 @ 116.86MPH
I did run almost 118MPH on another pass. Was not trying to break anything. Just on street tires so was not expecting much. She is a heavy pig though. Weighed 3780lbs with me and a quarter tank.

I was wondering why it was siiting on the side of the road. At least it didn't happen on the track.
The wind was really bad on Sat & I am sure it was hurting everyone. It would have made for a nice day if there was no wind. :(

Agreed, I still ran a faster time with the cooler temps. Just wish the wind would have been a little more cooperative.
