Looks like Nicolas Cage buffed up a little. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. I give it two, to, too thumbs up. :cool:

I'm a little disappointed that Marvel strayed away from making this an R movie. Constantine pulled it off beautifully, but DC has always been known to go out on a limb a little bit. Anyway, I was hoping for a very dark & hellish type movie to properly tell the story of the Ghost Rider. Oh well, I've always been a fan of Nicolas cage's movies and love Ghost Rider, so i'm going to see it.

With the way most of the goons on this site are easily distracted with explosions and gun fire, it's sure to be a hit by most on here (See Smokin' Aces). No offense SSman

Some people will hate it. If you are one of those type people that have to keep a serious mind, you will not like it. Nothing deep about the movie what so ever. I am pretty easy to entertain.

To be honest, most people might want to wait till it comes out on video. I took my son to see it. He liked it and so did I. But then I like Shrek too. :D
That is why I did not expand on it to much in the beginning. There are some funny parts, cheesey parts, ect. Don't go expecting this to a deep meaningful movie. Like you said, just go to be entertained.

I like fantasy stuff, alot of it in fact. I hate reality based stuff that has no substance, requires 2400 intermittent "suspend reality" moments complete with lack of storyline all hidden with great special effects. I liked all 3 X-men movies. You know what you are getting from the starty. But even those movies had decent writing, acting, directing, etc.

I always liked the Ghost Rider comics and will prolly see this one.
I cannot wait until the new Batman comes out. Batman Begins is the absolute best comic book adptation EVER and am really looking forward to see the second.

Actually I think Spawn was better, yeah the CGI on the ghost rider bike and his flaming head was cool BUT the villian sucked (american beauty camera guy? come on!!) and hes eating freaking m&m's out of a martini glass and watching cartoons?!?!?
It was pretty pame. They could have done SO much more with the idea.

Saw it yesterday with my girl. Thought it was pretty damn good. I think it was cool and had been waiting for it to come out. I use to watch the cartoon all the time. :D ......I'd go see it again... :cool: Ghost Rider FTW!!!

Mephisto & Blackheart were miscast, IMO.
Anyway, the story did lack a bit, but it's not a movie made that was meant to win oscars. Overall, I thought it took from the different incarnations of the rider and incorporated them well into one. Definitely worth the price of admission.
Oh yeah, and the CGI used for the head and bike were beautiful. Best CGI I've seen in a while.

My parents went and saw it last night and my dad hates all that kind of shit and he loved it. He is not into fantasy type of movies, but just said it was a cool movie. I should be seeing it this weekend.

In my opinion yeah they were close. I mean Ghost Rider is such a bad ass dude and for Nick Cage to be eating m&m's out of a martini glass and acting like a fruit half the time I just didnt like it.
If your passing the time and want to be entertained its cool, if your thinking B movie then its cool. If your thinking good fight scenes/storyline/chance at a 2nd installment think again.

I would have rather paid to watch X-Men 3 in theaters, AGAIN. If it wasn't for the side special effects in the movie (like when the bike cop blows up, or when the lizard burns up) they would have spent les money on CG than an episode of CSI. :rolleyes:
Coolest part was the stunt crash where his helmet hits the front tire and then hits the ground. That looked 100% real to me; even in slow motion.

i watched this over the weekend. i'm confused as to why anyone would give this a good review.
atleast i knew it would suck and it lived up to my expectations.
