Saw this on craigslist.. Honestly if I met the guy and had all of the terms worked out I would probably let him borrow mine, just because he is leaving for the army

yep if you ride u should at least have one good friend that would loan u a bike to ride. Hell I would not borrow another guys bike and would have an issue letting someone borrow my 6.

I would let a close friend borrow mine if he knew how to ride, And he could cover the cost if it did get wrecked,stolen..etc

lol I say I would but honestly I would probably back out.

Hell I bought my bike from my best friend me and and another guy all grew up together, Saturday night he let the other guy that we grew up with borrow his 03 cobra to run to the store. About 5 minutes later he comes running in crying and screaming that he just wrapped the car around a tree!

The only person I let ride my bike that wasn't family was n737nc on the board. That's just because I was riding his Ducati. :D

I have friends I would let borrow mine without blinking an eye. Of course they all let me borrow their bikes when I was getting back into bikes, to make sure I got one that worked for me.

We also know the rule about you break it, you fix it as well.

I wouldn't do it. Not worth the hassle of having my bike damaged.

I remember once (on my old R6) I loaned it to a friend of mine to ride around the neighborhood for a little while. He had been having family problems and also had to get rid of his bike for financial reasons and needed a way to "release". So I said sure. The hour I told him was OK to ride with turned into 3 hours. No cell phone or any way to get a hold of him. Not sure if he wrecked, was in the hospital, anything, nothing. Drove me notes. I cussed him out about it and he apologized and said he lost track of time.

ru kidding me? trust me I am a very willing and obviously nice person but two of my bikes have been wrecked one by a guy that had 20 yrs riding and the other I rode with almost daily for 3 years. the number one rule about motorcycle riding is "you dont let ppl borrow your bike" number 2 is you dont live or park your bike at an apt. complex. number 3 dont buy a new bike with liability, number 4 dont purchase a bike on the suzuki/yamaha credit card, or any other credit card. if you ride a lot you know what I am talking about..........

No one borrows any of my bikes ever again.I let a friend of mine "take over payments" because he had no vehicle and was having a bunch of arguements with his wife about not having a vehicle. I wasnt riding it at the time so I thought what the hell. Well he made 2 payments then not one payment after that. 3 months later he gave it to one of his friends to take over payments. His friend made the payments and my friend kept all the fucking money. I ended up repo'ing the bike.No front fender,no headlight faring, side fairings held on with zip ties,a bent front wheel, a scratched to hell muffler that isnt even connected because the dumb ass didnt realize that mesh seal was supposed to go back on the pipe(used a exhuast clamp to try to squeeze it 1/2in down to the header),a fucked up helmet, and no license plate.

I had to let a co-worker ride my 750 home from work after I jacked up my shoulder one day on the job. I hated it. The pain meds helped get over it though.

Not my new bike. If it were a bit older, and not upside down there are a slect few that I'd let ride it.

I don't let anyone ride my bike because it is hard to ride, and you can't just go and buy a new one if you fuck it up.
