I wish we coulda leaned it that day but the temp was in the 30s. The officials told us to be careful. I have some other pics on my R1 that I was cranking it over. but of course........that was the day I lowsided in Tombstone. :eek: LOL

I dunno. It's on here somewhere. I'm sure it's slow. Like I said, it was cold out there that day so I wasn't riding hard. I'm sure my times on the R-1 were much better but, I didn't rent a timer that day.

those timers didnt work well anyway. your first lap was like 7 minutes or something like that if i remember.

Ha, I dont know about skills, but I try. Im on a different bike this year. Switched to a 00 R6. Im ready to do a trackday and see how I like it compared to the 636. Need some warmer weather.

yea that is lean angle, but if you look at those guys, they are still hanging off their bike INTO the turn. the pic on the red R6, he is directly in line w/ the bike, if not outside of it

What makes MSR cresson so slick in the early mornings and cold weather? Ive ridden all the other tracks in texas (msr houston, TWS, Oakhill) and none of them are even remotely like that. My first two sessions at Cresson I had instances on little bend that nearly lowsided me. I almost left!! I was going like 30% and it was still sliding. Although the new section was great, we were running the full 3.1 that day so at least I could go hard on half the track.

they were talking about some compound they use on the track that makes it much stickier than most tracks during the hot-dry weather, but when it gets very cold and humid, it does the exact opposite
