LOL
I had this guy buy an R1 from us at the shop not too long ago. Of course when anyone purchases a bike (especially a 1000cc bike) I always ask them if they had ridden before. He told me that he had never ridden on the street before but he did ride a friends YZ250 dirtbike with a "powerband" installed!! LMAO I just looked at him and said "are you sure you want to buy this R1?"
People amaze me sometimes!
Oh and by the way........ he totalled the R1 just a few days later!!!

I have noticed since gas prices have gone up, an influx of people riding bikes that have no business being on one....

same here, i've seen so many close calls, and a few asshats actually lay them down in entirely harmless situations or......worst of the worst......drop at a redlight. Haven't seen any in a while

My thumper has a power band from idle to rev limiter. It cost a pretty penny.

He could be talkin about alot of shit. They have this deal called powernow valve it actually makes the intake port a little smaller and puts a divider in it to increase torque and midrange power, but maybe he meant powervalve, who the fuck knows! I just have a 13.5 je piston, a ported 06 cyl head, and a RHC 187 cam in my 450 that gives it instant hit from low to super over rev. I challenge most 600s 750s and lots of jokers riding 1000s to race my 450 in the 1.8th. I bet you get smoked.....

i havent taken it to the 1/8th, but i know it would trap over 90, it goes through all the gears quick. Real quick. I hardly can ever get out of 2nd or 3rd gear on a mx track, or Im going so fast, its hard to slow down for turns
