Just curious for anyone who's a Spurs fan and follows them closely...what's your take on the Spurs play lately?

Also, Phoenix won tonight...making that 10 in a row again. Amare had 42 pts. At this pace, its gonna take probably 63-64 wins to take the conference.

:( yeah they got whooped by Bulls....they are way behind the Mavs now... :o ...I think only the Suns will give the Mavs a run this year...but Mavs will still come up on top...

yeah, spurs started showing their age last year, especially once the playoffs got here. They are just looking slow, especially against teams like the mavs, suns, jazz ect.

But what's their age? The core of the team is 30 and younger...Duncan at 30 - which is hardly over the hill - unless you count that fact that all the battles have taken a toll on him - is still young and prime. Ginblome and Parker are young. It's the role players off the bench that are old...Fin, Bowen, Barry & Horry that are the seniors on the team.

By the way, how's Fin working out for you? I liked the guy, but Cuban made the right decision in my opinion.

God, I watched this game and it was painful. The Spurs have a great core of 3, but the problem is the rest of the team. No one on that team can score besides the Big 3. The team has no energy or offensive spark off the bench. Basically everyone stands around and watches TP dump it down low to TD, TD gets double-teamed, kicks it out to Bruce Bowen and he clanks a three. It's frustrating to say the least.

They badly need someone to provide energy off the bench and they need another pure shooter. They can't rely on Bowen, Berry, and Horry if they need an outside shot. They just need to get younger as a whole also. I don't know about this year, but I know last year they were the oldest team in the league. They need to do something before the trade deadline or it'll be a 4th seed finish and a 1st or 2nd round exit.
