Seems like a let down game kinda after watching the Mavs play the Spurs, Lakers, and Jazz last week. Anyway, they gave us fits in Dallas, so I expect this game on their court to be a tough one. Game starts at 6 tonight.

It doesn't hurt that the Pacers have both Daniels and Armstrong who understand the "system" that the Mavericks use. I'm sure they've given their teammates the full run down on what the Mavs like to do and how they do it. Thats what sucks about letting guys go.

115-113 Mavs in OT. Another big night by Dirk with 43 points. Anyone else think he wants that MVP pretty badly?

I think he could give a fuck less about a stupid ass MVP award. He's got other things on his mind...

Josh Howard could give any player a run for their money in the MVP category.
Everybody is on Nash's nuts right now. He is a GREAT player but I play better "D" than that fool!

I agree I think he just wants to win it all. That game last night was a great game.

I think Dirk has a very legitimate shot at MVP this year, more than ever. He was a star before, but getting the Mavs to the finals and then following it up with the best record in the NBA the following year...will get you some extra 1st place votes. It won't be unanimous because of the Lebron's and Wades and Kobe, but I think he can get it. He's also a warrior and plays hurt. He rolled his ankle again last night. Went to the bench for a minute and came back out and finished the game!
It was also nice to see JET back in fine form last night. He hit ultra clutch shots twice. Before OT, he drilled a 3 with about 30ish seconds left in the game to put the Mavs back in front and in OT, he also hit a jumper to put Dallas back in front with like 27 seconds left.

I disagree. I think he definately cares about winning the MVP as he feels he's already been 'cheated' out of one last year. Him winning the MVP this year and then winning the championship would pretty much erase everything that happened last year.

Awesome game last night. I thought it was going to be boring but wound up being pretty exciting. And Dirk is a hoss! Sprained ankle and he still keeps playing capping off a 43 point night. Dayum! What's sad is Dirk isn't going to get any credit for his performance in the eyes of the public and the MVP voters.
