Another reason I was looking at some of the other online stores is avoiding paying tax...
Saving the money from tax more than offsets the shipping/inconvenience of going to a local FFL...

Im going to give them a call, see what they can do on the Mossberg 500 #50521 and the XD .40, XD9102HCSP06

What kind of price do they have on the XD ? Bullet Trap here in Plano has the XD .40 for $469.99, and the XD 9mm for $479.99. Why the 9mm would be more I don't get, but whatever. They also have an XD 9mm on consignment for $405.

I'm going to go up there probably next week sometime and rent an XD 9 and maybe rent an XD .40 and see which one I like more. I like the thought of 17 rounds capacity in the 9mm. I may take my AK and shoot a few rounds through it. That, or just wait til the weather gets a little nicer and go to Denison and shoot out in the woods for free. :o

Cool, let me know if you check out both guns...
And that price isnt too bad on the .40, cheaper than some of the other local stores ive seen...
Im really looking at the .40 though, id prefer it to the 9mm, 12 rounds is plenty for me anyway...

Picked up the Mossberg today:D
Ill keep an eye out for XD prices over the next few weeks...

Where did you get it?
I picked up the Mossberg at academy, didnt want to fuck with driving somewhere this weekend, and I had to go out to my parents house, right down the road from there....

Im still calling around on the XD though, havent called the place you recommended YET, but I will, need to save up some more money before I get the XD :o

thats a good price cause i bought a year membership there and got the xd40 for 455 so i only saved a few bucks.

i dont live too far from there so let me know if you wanted to head up there. you can fire a few through my xd40. saves you a bit instead over renting.

i want to shoot my ak also, but i really want to do it outdoors. the indoor range is pointless.

Yeah, I talked to a guy about renting their guns, and from what I remember, it's $25 per gun, and that includes your "eyes & ears", the gun, a target or two and 20 rounds of ammo.

If you don't mind letting me put a few rounds through it, I would definitely like to.

I talked to the guy about shooting my AK up there too, but I'm with you on the shooting outdoors. We have a place outside of Denison that we go to shoot, and it's free, so that's nice--and we can go there any time we want.
