Mavs to get CWebb?

Just a rumor...heard it on ESPN radio. They were talking about sending Austin Croshere in exchange. Doesn't seem like a fair exchange...but who knows. Has he slipped that much? Would be a nice backup for Dirk.

Isn't Croshere in the last year of his contract?That would be his only value.After dumping Iverson, the sixers are probably trying to clean house and get ready for the draft.
Webbers knees are gone.He is a shell of his former self. His contract is something to think about.
I don't know anything about those Hawk players but A. Johnson hasn't done a thing for the Mavs.I thought he would have more of an impact than what he has.

If Dallas did get Webber, it would be through free agency as the 76'ers are going to buy-out his contract. Donnie Nelson said that the Mavs have "some" interest in him, but nothing indicating that they were ready to make a move right away.

Honestly, I'm not sure if Webber has anything really to offer to the Mavs. I'd be more worried about him messing up the team chemistry that has been built over the past few seasons. Too much risk and not enough reward.

Croshere has been sittin on the bench alot.. i bet Webber would complain about coming off the bench but he's still be decent..

Speaking of Choshere...he had 13 points tonight. Dirk had 11. He played pretty well considering he hasn't played much lately.

Stoudamire is a decent 3rd string gaurd, he can easily do AJs job, at a lower cost. Batista is just a roster spot holder.

As for Webber, he may be slipping, but he was a 20/10 guy last year, and all the teams he's expressing interest in have enough talent that he'd be coming off the bench. I think he's realized that if he's going to win, he's going to be a reserve.
